If you want to take a shot at making a rough estimate on a custom inlay floor, here are some rules of thumb to follow.
If you have a fairly square area of about 250 square feet and you want a moderately complex inlay design, it is going to cost you approximately $2000 in VCT, $4000 in Linoleum, and $5000 for cork. More inlay equals greater cost, less inlay and reduces the price a bit. You get the idea.
Then there is this snide and extremely smart-aleck vignette: Serious handholding; coming to your house and listening to you speak in harsh tones to your kids, animals, or staff; waiting while you talk on your cell phone etc. these kinds of things will cost you $150/hour plus medications and liquidated damages, but we’re pretty sure that none of this is ever going to happen.
